There's a session beer contest at The Ram Brewery in Indy.
https://sites.google.com/site/ramsmallale/
It's a BJCP contest. Registration online by March 3, 2011 and beer drop off starting March 14. $10 entry fee, 2 beer style max entry per brewer. Winner gets to be brewer for a day, brewing up the winning beer which will be served at both Ram locations. The beer will also be entered in GABF's ProAm.

I have a friend in Indy that will drop off any entries for us. We could take them up on the BOS roadtrip March 12 and save any shipping charges.

I think the definition is "a beer you can drink all evening without losing your head."

The metrics vary from person to person. I've heard things like less than 4.0% ABV, less than 4.5%, or less than 5.0%.

Follow the link, and it describes the max OG to 1.051. That coul turn you out a 5.5%ABV beer.
