I don't know what circles you run in Sky but that sounds dirty to me.

For my BIABers out there, these are on sale right now at Menards for $14.99!! Normally like $22 I believe. Hung mine from the rafters in the garage. Works great!! (Auto-locks as well).

nice, I was just researching induction cooktops. That's the 3500W model, right? Keep us updated on how that works out for ya.

Jeremy, yes this is the 3500W. I've been brewing on an 1800W induction plate with a 5 gal kettle for awhile now, and love it. I just wanted to be able to brew 5 gal batches inside. I just so happen to have 240V already in my brew room. :beer8
This seems to be a tried and true induction/kettle combo on Homebrewtalk.com.

That's awesome. My kettle and mash tun are induction ready, so I've considered doing that as well but I don't have another 240v power outlet. Could always unplug the dryer on brew day I suppose!

 Have we ever had an anti-tech topic?

A couple people have asked me about a base for the medical oxygen cylinders since they are top heavy and tend to very easily fall over and damage gauges etc. Unlike propane, O2 is simply a compressed gas ( i.e. no liquid) so you can simply lay the 02 bottle down when oxygenating without any danger.

I saw today that Adventures in Homebrewing has $39 used 5 gallon ball lock kegs. Or you could get four for $156.

Pin locks are going for $29 for a single or $100 for four. It's a real decent price for an introduction to kegging.

Spent a little time this morning swapping out the quick release fittings on the hoses. Going to take a bit of getting used to but I think the extra flow is worth it.
