burner upgrade req's

Have any of you tried the multi jet burners with low pressure gas? I am hoping to buy one, but am unsure of number of jets and if they would be better than a banjo burner. Any tips?

I've contemplated switching to low pressure natural gas due to it's convenience, and price. I don't have any experience with the burners, but have some cheap sources if you're wanting to make the buy.

I was given two old turkey friers when I started brewing and they had the cup burners and small 10 PSI regulators.

When I got my structure it had two high pressure cast iron fry burner

This is actually only made for a 10 PSI regulator. It put out a nice even flame until you go above that setting (which is what I need) to get enough heat out then the flames dance off the burner. I've tried several different orifices and this burner is only design to operate properly at 10 PSI. So I'm back to my cup (potbelly) burners and they do a 10 gal batch just fine.
I've heard that the High Pressure Cast Iron Banjo Burner (210,000 BTU) with a 0-30 regulator is a nice setup. Some day when I get an extra $50 I will get one and let you know. http://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/bg14_c ... burner.htm

It looks like i might get a new burner for my top water kettle so i can heat up all the water faster than 1-1/2 to 2hrs.

I think I only spend @ 30-40 min heating my 10 or so gallons of strike water using the cup burner and the 30 PSI regulator.
You can usually find someone getting rid of them in a yard sale. The 30 PSI regulator cost @$25.

I have a new one that I bought....Bayou Classic http://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/sq14_p ... burner.htm and feel mine works great. I am working on the stand of my friends (Fred) to allow it to acommodate a valve he added to the side of his pot. I was thinking of replacing his as a Christmas present while he is in Germany drinking the real stuff! He has one of these http://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/bg10_c ... burner.htm and it is all rusted.

I've done three batches and mine seems to heat up 6-7 gallons pretty quickly!
