Evansville Museum Brew-Ha-Ha 2010: October 2

Post by JohnD » Sun Sep 12, 2010 9:46 am

Please post if you plan to work at the OVHA booth and/or bring beer to Brew Ha Ha on Saturday, October 2 at the Evansville museum. We will also need servers for the commercial beers being served there.

I'll donate beer, and serve. I'll bring Brown Cow, Hef's Honey, and Tax Day Tea Blonde ale.
You gonna buy one, or be one?

I won't be able to work the event, but I have a keg of the club bourbon barrel old ale ready to go if I can drop it off with someone.

I am willing to serve at the event.

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

I can serve, but I'm not sure I'll have any beer ready.

I should have the Watermelon Wheat ready. I can serve also if needed.

I got the email below a couple of weeks ago, but just read it carefully today. Charging the volunteers only $15 bucks this year!! Wow, What a deal!! Are these folks for real?

Hello Everyone,

The 2010 Brew-Ha-Ha is coming up on October 2nd, so it's time to get our volunteer list organized for the event. Please let me know if you're interested in helping out this year (remember - volunteer tickets only cost $15!), and, if so, whether you would prefer to work 1st or 2nd shift. The evening runs from 6 to 11, and we hope to see all of you there in any capacity!

Please reply as soon as possible,
Thanks again,
Annie McKim

If they're charging volunteers to work, I suggest we cancel his outing immediately. We need to find out if this is real. What a joke!

So..., let me get this straight! We donate beer for the benefit of the museum, we work at their event, and we have to buy a $15.00 ticket?? My opinion is "No #!*& way"! Count me out!
If anyone has her phone number I would like to find out if this is real.

I usually buy a full price ticket. It's a fund raiser for the Museum, after all.

I think that email is for volunteer servers only. I don't think it applies to volunteers donating beer.

I think some follow-up and clarification on the ticket price is needed really quickly.
