After doing some research on the internet I found website that sells pin lock to ball lock conversion kits. Has anyone tried these? If so are they worth the money?

Alright, I bit the bullet and bought a couple of these kits to try. Once they have arrived I will post some pictures of the conversion.

It seems I looked into this once and the price of getting the kit was a wash of just buying a whole keg. If you need the reduced hight of the pin lock keg to make it fit in a fridge or something then I could see going this route. Let us know how it turns out.

This months FOX Equipment flyer has Conversion Plugs

Converts Firestone "pin-lock" tanks to "ball-lock"
1 set for $12.95
Part # 12G04-100

* This is only if you pin-lock is a Firestone tank.

I'd be glad to check this out with Fox for you but I'm leaving town soon.
I know Jack has an account with them and orders from time to time.

I do need several items from FOX and will be placing an order mid to late October after I get back

The only warning on the plugs is that
"Plugs not compatible with alkaline cleaners. Remove from tank before cleaning"
They are made from T3 Aluminum with an anodized finish.
