It was my Emerald Red Irish Red Ale. I entered it as kind of a Hail-Mary, not really expecting it to do much. It is a good beer but I thought some of my other entries were much better. I guess I'll just have to wait for the judges score sheets.

Like Chris said, it was a great time. It was my first time as a steward and I have a new respect for the organizers of the contest. There was an increase of 37% in entries from last year for a total of 837 and still everything went like clockwork. I'll definitely be back next year.

Congrats to Jack for the GOLD!!

Way to go Dwayne and Jack you guys rock. :beer9 Seems like it's always the beer that you don't think will go over well that goes over well.

Were the 837 entries HB and PB combined or just HB? One would think the hop shortage and increase in brewing costs would slow some people down. Guess not!

That was the combined number of entries. 596 were homebrewed.
