We need to get the grains ordered next week, so I want to go ahead and get a count.
Let me know if I missed anyone.
Brewing 5 gals (bag or tun):

Sky
Chris
Jeff Smith
Kenny Purcell
Jonh D
Don Armstrong
Kenny Lucas
Cesar
John Mullins
Peter
Michael Julian
Dwayne (and his aluminum pot)
Fred Schmalz
Don Heisler
This will be enough to fill Jacks Fermenter but we can always use more.

Stephanie as offered to help with the food.
We will plan some extra so if you can't brew, still come out and watch / help.

The club will supply the grains and hops. Jack has offered to grind the grains.
Brewers will need to bring all their brewing Equipment and a carboy. If you need electric bring an extension cord.
I need someone to bring a water filter (my filter is not made for volume) we could use some more hoses and a splitter.
Here is the recipe http://heislerbrewing.com/styled-2/styled-8/index.html

OVHA Barrel Project II-Feb 23 @ 9 am, PAR Research 9845 Hedden Rd. Evansville.
Go north on Green River Rd and turn left on Kansas Rd. Just before you get to Hwy 57 is Hedden Rd, turn right, and PAR is on the right side.

The last time I was out there I had to come in off of N. Green River Rd. because of construction.

I will be BIABing. So should I plan on using the special BIAB recipe or are we all going to use the normal recipe?

Hey Everyone, I'm not a member of OVHA (yet) but am very interested in starting to homebrew, I've tried making wine at home about 8 years ago but none turned out to good  , I was wondering if it would be alright to come down and watch you guys/gals brewing? I'll be coming from Vincennes, nothing really up here about homebrewing and dont think there is even a homebrew store in town anymore, Thanks, Mark

Hey Mark,

This is a perfect event to visit and get a feel for several styles of home brewing. Absolutely come on out and feel free to ask plenty of questions!

We look forward to seeing you there!

I'm getting excited about this! So the club is getting grains & hops, does that mean we need to brim the Candi Sugar? What about yeast? Is that provided by Jack? Also, how cold is the chill water? Do we need to bring ice for our chillers?
