December Pale Ale

8.00 lbs. Pale Malt(2-row) Great Britain
1.00 lbs. Cara-Pils Dextrine Malt America
1.00 lbs. Crystal 10L America
1.00 lbs. Aromatic Malt Belgium

Hops

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.75 oz. Cascade Pellet 60 min.
1.00 oz. Cascade Pellet 20 min.

Yeast
-----

Danstar Nottingham

Smooth, medium body.Bitter just above balanced, smooth hop finish.Nice creamy, lingering head, moderate lacing.Complex flavor profile and aroma.Overall,a very refreshing beverage that leaves me wanting another one. This is no lawn mowing beer @ 6.11 ABV but would definitely stand in as a ( tipsey  ) thirst quencher.
You gonna stop whinin' 'bout that beer,or you gonna send it to me?

On tap at the Gersthaus: Kulmbacher Eisbock, 9.2% and the best commercial beer that I have had in quite a while.
It is a little expensive at $9 a fishbowl but worth every cent. (make sure you ask for a non-frosted glass and let it warm up a little)

Found in the lost forbidden back of the beer refrigerator.
John Barleycorn Barleywine "2008" from Mad River Brewing.
I really enjoyed this beer and am glad I let it age for almost 3 years.
The aroma is sweet with caramel malts, dark fruits and brown sugar. There is also a bit of floral hops. I did let it warm up a little before drinking (like a true English beer).
Slightly woody and oaky, this beer starts with a dark fruit sweetness and there is a slight hop bitterness. The presence of alcohol is the mainstay of this beer, buy it is an easy drinking Barleywine.
The 2008 brew is 9.1% ABV, good thing I only had one left.

I must agree with Dwayne. I had the Eisbock last evening and it was incredible. It is a bit pricey, but my fishbowl was $7.50. Maybe it's cheaper during the week.
