As a member of OVHA, are we members of AHA also, or are they a separate entity?
Thanks,

Re: General Membership Question
Both are stand alone entities.
AHA (American Homebrewers Association) is a separate entity from OVHA. Their membership gets you a subscription to Zymurgy, and discounts at participating breweries/brewpubs, and homebrew stores.
OUR benefits are much cooler. Monthly meetings with free sampling, a monthly newsletter, and opportunities to participate in many exciting beer festivals.

You gonna buy one, or be one?

Re: General Membership Question
AHA also supports the continued legal efforts to keep homebrewing legal in the current 48 states, and keeps trying to convert the other two.

And they occasionally give advice to Homebrew Clubs who find themselves at odds with local bureaucracies.Chris Norrick wrote:AHA also supports the continued legal efforts to keep homebrewing legal in the current 48 states, and keeps trying to convert the other two.

Re: General Membership Question
The way I look at it, Zymurgy magazine justifies more than half my AHA membership fee. The balance is essentially a worthwhile PAC contribution.
