Brew365.com is Hiring

Post by Chris Alvey » Tue Jan 05, 2010 8:10 am

Things over at Brew365.com are busier than ever and I need help. I have been putting my time into a new brewing website, and just haven't been able (or had the energy) to add pages to Brew365.com lately.

So, here's what I need: Go to Brew365.com and see the tabs with clone recipes, hops, grains, and yeast - I need more of those for grains, hops, yeasts that I haven't gotten to yet. I do not want the long how-to articles or studies or anything like that necessarily right now.

The way to go about writing one of these is way more simple that it might first appear. I would prefer someone who is comfortable with the very, very simple HTML required. I will provide you with a php template that you can just paste stuff into - so don't be worried - it's easy. No special software needed. You can do this in notepad if you want. I'll do the harder stuff like uploading, indexing, db work etc. on the website.

So, the next question is what this might be worth to you? I would like to offer work on a per-article basis based on the surplus of Google revenue for that period. When the pool of money is used up I will have to wait until Google pays me again. I can't offer much per article butif you are good with computers and enjoy learning about brewing, the work should really be trivial. I do not have a rate just yet, and we can talk about that. Of course I can also work out barter agreements as well - beer 'samples', grains, hops - I'll even come clean your mash tuns if that's what you want.

Job requirements:

- Adequate computer skills and ability to edit very, very simple HTML documents (hell, just don't mess up the tags and you will be fine.)
- Ability to create recipes and find accurate OG, FG, IBU values.
- Experience with brewing ingredients and the ability to speak somewhat authoritatively on brewing-related terminology.
- High level of comfort with written communication, grammar, and spelling.
