Teach a Friend to Home Brew Day 2009

Post by Chris Alvey » Thu Oct 29, 2009 12:51 pm

Steve Woods has graciously volunteered to again host the Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day at his house/barn. This will take place Saturday, November 7th.

We will probably start showing up around 9am. Bring your brewing equipment, any newbies interested in brewing, beverages, covered dish/munchies.

Directions to the Brewery On Barton:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q ... =UTF8&om=1

The Bar-N Brewery on Barton is on Barton Road just north of Volkman Road. From the East Side, drive north on Greenriver road until it ends at Petersburg Road. Continue north to Baseline Rd(four way stop). Turn left, then right onto Volkman Road at the top of the big hill. Follow Volkman to the stop sign and Seven Hills Road. Cross traffic does not stop, so watch. Continue through the intersection (road name changes - - Volkman is to the left to 41, Barton goes north). Drive to the Bar-N is the second drive on the left going uphill to the big pole barn.

From Evansville or the West Side, take 41 or St. Joe north to Baseline Road. Turn right (east) on Baseline to Volkman, turn left and follow the above directions. You can also take Volkman Rd from 41 to Barton if you wish.

I have had some things come up and will not be able to make this event. Everyone have fun ... it looks like weather will be nice.

How long will this go on and when will you all start? I would like to stop by and learn a little more on how it all works from someone who knows :)

It will start around 9am (maybe a bit later) and usually lasts until the early afternoon.

I'm not brewing myself but I'll bring some equipment and 15-20 gallons of filtered water and help who ever needs it. I'm baking beer bread right now to share. See you all in the morning!
