Recipe suggetions?
I found a yeast that I brewed with this weekend, Wyeast #2112 California Lager Yeast. It's optimum temperature is 58-68. It is perfect for the temp of my basement during the winter 58 degrees. (I have had to shut the brewery down due to cold fermenting temps.) I brewed a California Common with it this weekend. My question is this: I would like to use this a few more times before spring, is there a recipe wheel that I can use to build a beer around this yeast? Can I just use a couple lager recipes and sub this? What will the changes in taste be? Also, I do extracts, so I will need to address that as well. If I have time at work, I may check Chris's website, and see if he has something. Cheers

Let me look, but I think I have a book at home that has a few recipes that could give you ideas. I will bring them Wednesday night if you like.
Also there are a few other yeasts that will work well at those temps, including German, Belgian, and Scottish Ale yeasts.

Thanks, if you think about it, bring it. I am thinking about just brewing some batches and see what happens. The book would improve my odds.
