Announcing the 1st Annual OVHA Homebrew Contest

When: November 28 meeting, beer registration at 6:30 p.m.

Why: Bragging rights, fabulous traveling trophy, 1 year of free club dues, plus more!

How: Each member, in good standing, is allowed one (1) beer into the contest. Please bring three (3) bottles of your beer so there is enough to judge. Scoring will be very simple. Everyone at the meeting will receive a score sheet numbered 1 to 10. You will be told the style category of the beer and you will assign an "overall impression" score from 1 to 10. Scores will be collected and averaged. Highest average score wins. There may be possible "honorable mention" prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.

It says member in good standing but this will be my first meeting. Is it ok if I bring 3 bottles with me for this?

or "can't stand good"...I forget...

Dues are $25.00 per year.

It is always great to see some new faces at the meeting.
It gets even better. Chris sacrifices a small animal at every third meeting. You just missed out on the rotation this time.

Just wanted to add in that we had 12 entries into the contest and over 20 people came out to the meeting to judge. That's more of a success that I had hoped for! The beer was just outstanding! Put it on your calendars for next year.
