Since the Big Brew was rained out, it’s be rescheduled for Saturday, June 22.

Bring out your setup be ready to brew at the old Black Buggy Restaurant at the corner of Green River Rd. and Lynch Rd. Setup begins at 8 a.m. and we’ll try to wrap up in early afternoon. This is covered brewing space so rain should not be a factor. There is also water and electric.

Suggested Big Brew recipes from the American Homebrewer’s Association: http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/p ... ay/recipes.

As in years past, the club will supply ingredients for the suggested recipes and the Big Turkey winning recipe in exchange for the brewer supplying at least half the keg (or bottles) to one of our upcoming festivals. Club-supplied ingredients are limited so feel free to bring your own ingredients and brew what ever you want!

Sign up below if you are brewing an AHA suggested recipe and would like some free ingredients.

I will be brewing. We have plenty of electrical outlets and a couple of spigots. Sorry Dutch. No rain checks for this one. We have plenty of overhead cover if needed. Now all we need are brewers!

I've ordered ingredients for all three AG recipes from Rebel. Hopefully it will make it in time. I'll take the Pils, Dwayne and Mullins can fight over the other two.

Rebel Brewing order for the three AHA recipes will be here TODAY! Those guys are amazing.

I started a 3L lager yeast starter last night from some washed yeast from the SMaSH beer and I hope to step it up one more time. I should have PLENTY of yeast for this batch and to save a vial. It is the elusive Fermentis Saflager S-189 "Swiss Lager" that they don't sell in homebrew size backs. One shop does repackage it in homebrew size and that's how I got it. If anyone does lagers and wants to try it I'll pass some along.

John Mullins has claimed the AHA Dark Mild so that leaves Dwayne the Belgian Blonde.

Other than the wind, it was a great day brewing.
The Big Brew Belgian Blond is fermenting ferociously and should be ready for SWIRCA.
Group-brews are a little extra work, but well worth it. :beer9
